A space of light and calm
During 3daysofdesign, Georg Jensen’s flagship store in Copenhagen was transformed into an immersive installation designed by David Thulstrup. Here, the masterpiece Penumbra was presented, as centerpiece, within a sculptural setting of curved walls in matte aluminum. The subtle surfaces interacted with the light, creating a subdued, almost museum-like atmosphere, guiding visitors through a narrow passage into a sensory experience.
Monumental simplicity in focus
In collaboration with Georg Jensen and architect David Thulstrup, a space was created where form, light, and materiality came together in an installation that highlighted Penumbra as a work of art.
The curved walls in matt-brushed aluminium enveloped the space, creating a calm and exclusive setting where design and narrative merged into a coherent experience.
The installation was conceived with reusability in mind – a design intended to live on and add value in new surroundings.
