IMPORTANT: Ambiente always refer to the detailed maintenance and cleaning recommendations from furniture manufactures and the like.

Leather

Cleaning and maintenance of leather materials

Regularly clean the surface using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush. For a more thoroughly cleaning, wring out a soft cloth in distilled/boiled water with mild and natural soap flakes of good quality. Generate foam of the soap flakes in hot water (Use ½ dl soap flakes for 1 l water). Use the foam (when the water is at room temperature) and apply on the whole leather surface - but without soaking the leather. Thoroughly wipe the surface and polish with a dry and soft cotton cloth. Please note that suede must not be treated with a vacuum cleaner, soap flakes, detergents or creams for leather.

Marble

Cleaning and maintenance of marble materials

Wipe the surface with a dampish cloth. For more thoroughly cleaning, use a cloth wrung in water with soap flakes (2-3 tablespoons of soak flakes for 1 liters of water). Regularly use of soap flakes will over time dull the surface.

Do not clean marble inventory with any kind of aggressively or sour cleaning liquids (vinegar, citric acid e.g.) If these liquids are spilled, it must be wiped of immediately.

Marble must be saturated with preservatives for absorbent material, so that grease and dirt do not enter the materials. Use petroleum or water with soap flakes and generate foam and apply the foam on the surface. Let it work for 5 minutes, without drying and wipe the surface with a clean and dampish cloth.

Composite

Cleaning and maintenance of composite materials

Wring out a soft cloth in clean water and wipe the surface. If the surface is very dirty, use a cloth wrung in liquid water.

Lacquered wood

Cleaning and maintenance of lacquered wood

Wipe the surface with a damp cloth, and immediately wipe with a clean and dry cloth. For more thoroughly cleaning, wring out a cloth in water with sulphonated (teaspoon sulphonated for 1 liters of water) and wipe with a dry, clean cloth.

Lacquered wood takes at least 4 weeks to hardened, so if possible, please avoid cleaning the surface in the first 4 weeks. Likewise, please avoid humidity and hot objects on the surface.

In order to handle more difficult smudges, please be careful with the cleaning. Use a rubber or stain removing benzene (flammable liquid and steam, please see the product guidelines) to remove marks from shoes and the like. To remove white marks and shields from contact with hot objects, humidity or alcohol, please use a dishcloth and place it on the marks/shields and ironing on it with a hot iron (do not steam the marks). Alternatively, use a blow-dryer to blow hot air on the marks until it disappears. When removing marks of stearin on the surface, please wait for the stearin to dry, and then remove as much stearin as possible with a not-abrasion object. If the stearin leaves a white mark or shield, please follow the instructions above.

Oil treated wood

Cleaning and maintaining oil treated wood

Wipe the surface with a dampish cloth and immediately wipe of with a dry cloth. For more thoroughly cleaning, wrung a cloth in warm water with liquid water (use a few drops for 1 liters of warm water). Wipe off with a clean and dry cloth.

Laminte

Cleaning and maintenance of laminate materials

Spray laminate cleaning directly at the surface and wait a couple of minutes. Then wipe with a damp cloth. Wipe the surface with a clean and dry cloth.

If the surface is very dirty, start by washing the surface in hot water to loosen the dirt before following the above-mentioned instructions.

Linoleum

Cleaning and maintenance of linoleum materiales

Wring out a cloth in clean water and wipe the surface. Immediately wipe with a clean and dry cloth.

If the surface is very dirty, use water with soap flake. The soap flake will form a thin layer, that will prevent unnecessary dirt on the surface. Avoid using detergent, soft soap and liquids with ammonium chloride, as these will destroy the surface.

Vinyl

Cleaning and maintenance of vinyl materials

Clean the surface with a vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle or brush with a soft brush or a dry swab. The surface can be wash in warm water with a natural cleaning detergent (e.g. universal cleaner) if needed. This will form a thin protective and nurturing layer at the surface.

Floors made of vinyl, should be washed with a wrung cloth or swabed once a week - e.g. in universal cleaner. Do not use any other cleaning materials, as they may reduce the anti-slip effect. Please note that soft soap and soap flakes will leave a greasy surface on the vinyl floor. If the vinyl floor has started getting a matt surface, it can be washed with a cleaning detergent. Afterwards the surface must be scrubbed with a sponge and must be wiped with clean water. Finally, wash the floor with a nurturing cleaning detergent that contain wax or polymer.

Metal

Cleaning and maintenance of metallic materials

Wring out a cloth in water with neutral cleaning detergent and wipe the surface. Wipe with a dampish cloth to remove any remaining cleaning detergent. Finish with wiping the surface with a dry dish cloth to remove remaining water.

Please do not use cleaning detergent with grinding effect (like scouring powder or corrosive liquids) as it will ruin the surface.
