he ambitious entrepreneurial project included a thorough renovation of the building, where the ceiling was raised by 2.5 metres in the 225 m² core exhibition presenting Bit Vejle’s world-famous psaligraphic work. After only three months of hard work, the art centre could open as a beautiful experiential universe with a modern, minimalist look — featuring changing exhibitions, a café, a shop and a paper workshop.
It started as a centre for paper art but quickly evolved into a true museum that preserves and exhibits paper art for posterity.
“To bring this project to life, we needed a partner who could fully embrace our ambitious entrepreneurial vision, interpret our artistic ideas, and, with limited resources, both design and build the physical setting that would frame psaligraphy and paper art.”
Bit Vejle, psaligraph artist and CEO at Museum for Paper Art
