Ambiente has assisted Stommen Group with the design, craftsmanship, production of custom-made elements, and final assembly for their new headquarters in Sweden. The new domicile is an impressive combined headquarters and showroom of almost 8,000 m². Here, several of the group’s brands are gathered under one roof with the ambition to increase cross-departmental collaboration and support cultures with different working methods and needs.
Dynamic and flexible workplace with impact
The three floors of the building are designed with inspiration from the surrounding Swedish nature. Shades of the forest floor are prominent on the ground floor, treetops and greenery dominate the first floor, and the second floor exudes lightness and bright skies. This thematic approach is also evident in the many meeting rooms, each with its own name and atmosphere. The meeting rooms support different types of work needs and desired moods for meetings and tasks, allowing you to choose between jungle vibes and oriental atmosphere, Nordic-inspired coolness, or the deep calm of the sea. Ambiente has delivered several unique pieces of furniture and installations to ensure the detailed realisation of Stommen Group’s desired themes with a wow effect.
In the building’s work zones, the main approach has been activity-based design. To ensure flexibility, we have divided the office environment into zones that encourage different types of work and interaction. This means that, in addition to meeting rooms, employees can use benches, high desks, quiet rooms, open offices, breakout areas and lounge spaces depending on what they need or prefer. The many different types of work zones are surrounded by showrooms where the building’s brands showcase their products on several of Ambiente’s custom-made elements, with a focus on adaptable display and expression.
