A Tactile, Material-Driven Showroom Crafted for Slow Exploration and Scandinavian Design Clarity
Ege Carpets invited Ambiente to update their showroom as part of the new headquarters, creating a space where textiles, colour and materials are experienced in use. The ambition was to create a calm framework that allows carpets, textures and surfaces to stand clearly forward. The result is a showroom where products are experienced as part of a larger working environment rather than as isolated samples.

A Headquarters Designed Around People, Materials and Everyday Work
Ambiente was tasked with designing Ege Carpets’ new headquarters, where aesthetics, functionality and material choices form the foundation for a vibrant and inspiring work environment. Respecting the building’s existing architecture and the company’s history, modern elements were introduced to create a contemporary setting where both employees and guests feel welcome. The design supports different work needs by offering variation and choice, ensuring a balance between focus, collaboration and informal interaction throughout the working day.
Flexible Meeting Facilities and Shared Spaces
Meeting rooms were designed to support versatile everyday use, with comfortable furniture, good acoustics and equipment for online meetings. This allows the spaces to function equally well for focused work, internal collaboration and meetings with external partners. In the central “forest” area, tall trees connect the two floors and create a distinctive shared space used for informal meetings, remote work and spontaneous conversations. Coffee stations and breakout areas are placed strategically throughout the headquarters, designed with rounded corners and wood panelling to create smooth transitions between different work zones.
Materials, Atmosphere and Textile Identity
Materials play a key role in shaping the atmosphere of the headquarters. Textile surfaces, wood elements and carefully chosen colours reflect Ege Carpets’ identity and core competence. The use of natural materials creates warmth and calm, while colour variation adds character and supports orientation within the building. The combination of materials allows employees and visitors to experience carpets and surfaces in use, reinforcing the connection between product, workplace and everyday activity.
A Working Environment Designed for Flexible Use
The canteen was designed as an active meeting place that can be used throughout the day for both social and professional purposes. It functions as a natural gathering point, supporting dialogue, informal meetings and everyday interaction. Overall, the new headquarters offers flexible meeting and work facilities that adapt to different needs and situations. By combining functional planning, thoughtful material choices and shared spaces with multiple purposes, the headquarters supports a dynamic working environment where collaboration, focus and everyday life coexist naturally.
