Ambiente has developed and realised these units, where bespoke furniture and technical installations support hands-on teaching. The solution brings together function, construction and identity in one integrated concept.

A Mobile Laboratory Designed for Transport and Teaching
The Mobile Labs are built on the back of a truck and operate under changing physical conditions, from transport across the country to full-scale teaching environments. The interior is designed with precision and clarity, allowing the mobile laboratory to be unfolded and activated quickly as a fully integrated teaching space. Custom-built elements bring together workstations, technical installations and storage within a compact and carefully considered structure, where every square metre is utilised. The limited space places high demands on proportions, movement and ergonomics. Work surfaces, storage and installations are therefore carefully coordinated to ensure both safety and flexibility in use. Materials and detailing are selected for durability and long-term performance, while the spatial layout defines clear zones for dialogue, experimentation and focused learning. The result is a technically advanced learning environment where architectural quality and practical function are combined in a coherent whole.
A Complex Transformation Delivered at Scale
The project included the development of multiple mobile units, where each truck was transformed from a transport vehicle into a fully integrated teaching environment. This required close coordination between construction, bespoke production and assembly to ensure consistent quality and operational reliability across all units. All components are developed for efficient installation and repeated use, while maintaining a precise and consistent overall expression. Ambiente managed the process from technical development and prototyping to production and final implementation. The mobile construction places exceptional demands on fixings, stability and detailing, as all elements must withstand movement without compromising performance or finish. The project demonstrates expertise in complex, technically demanding interiors where mobility, durability and spatial quality must be combined in a scalable solution.
