Ambiente was tasked with designing and implementing an extension and interior design for Gabba’s existing head office in Kolding. The goal was to create more interactive, flexible, creative and inspiring facilities — an atmospheric domicile that speaks the Gabba language, exudes the Gabba spirit and makes employees and customers feel and experience what Gabba stands for.
But that’s not what we did! After getting to know Gabba’s vision, needs and values, and analysing the possibilities within the existing framework, we agreed together with Gabba to exploit the potential of the current domicile — renovating and transforming it to meet future needs. A transformation project where we could make better use of existing square metres and avoid a costly expansion.

We made a joint decision to reclaim warehouse space for administration and create new, inviting common areas and showroom facilities. The common areas act as hybrid spaces with many functions and are undoubtedly the heart of the new Gabba headquarters — flexible and inviting, with plenty of room for cosy coffee conversations, innovative meetings, and even a game of table tennis after lunch.
Concrete floors and walls meet wood, steel, painted surfaces and cool colours. A denim-blue thread runs throughout the building and ties it all together. Tall trees and plants bring warmth and natural elements to the converted warehouse, while the showroom offers great variety in shapes, materials and playful details.
