An Exhibition Stand Designed for Flow, Clarity and a Strong Brand Experience
For Stockholm Furniture Fair, Muuto needed an exhibition stand that could translate the brand’s Scandinavian design into a spatial experience. Based on reused elements and realised within a tight timeframe, Ambiente created an exhibition stand where transparency, colour and structure guide movement through the space. The result is a cohesive exhibition environment where brand identity, flexibility and precision are brought together as one.

An Exhibition Stand Defined by Layers and Transparency
The exhibition stand is structured as a series of semi-transparent elements that divide the space without enclosing it. Large textile surfaces in muted tones create soft transitions, allowing light and movement to flow freely throughout the stand. This approach establishes a calm and welcoming atmosphere while naturally guiding visitors through different product areas. Freestanding elements and coloured volumes introduce variation and rhythm within the open space. Warm reds, soft greens and golden tones define zones without disrupting the overall expression. Each product setting is clearly framed, while the stand as a whole remains coherent and balanced.
A Visitor Journey Shaped by Flow and Clarity
The exhibition stand is organised to support natural movement and accessibility. Open corners and multiple entry points make it approachable from all directions, lowering the threshold for entering the space. Within the stand, different zones create settings for both informal encounters and more focused conversations. The semi-transparent elements maintain visual connections across the entire exhibition stand, even during periods of high activity. This creates a clear sense of overview and makes it easy to navigate the space intuitively. The stand functions as a framework for presentation, dialogue and time spent within the brand universe.
Planning, Reuse and Precise Execution
The project required a carefully coordinated process, where an existing exhibition stand concept was dismantled, transported, reviewed, adapted and rebuilt within a limited timeframe. All elements needed to perform in a new setting while maintaining a consistent overall expression.
Ambiente was responsible for the entire process, from coordination and preparation to on-site assembly at Stockholm Furniture Fair. Reusing materials places high demands on precision and experience in both production and installation. The completed exhibition stand appears consistent and well resolved, with a clear connection between concept, materials and execution.
