A Scandinavian Cityscape Shaped by the Power of Light
Louis Poulsen welcomed visitors into a unique Scandinavian urban setting shaped by light.
The 260 m² stand presented a full-scale model of a modern city, forming the architectural framework of the installation. Here, the interplay between indoor and outdoor lighting was integrated as a natural extension of the buildings, demonstrating how light enhances the overall experience of the city after dark. Light was not treated as an addition, but as an essential component of the architecture itself — shaping the way we perceive buildings and spaces.
Ambiente produced and assembled 95 steel plates with 514,468 laser-cut holes. Together, they created the effect of illuminated windows in a city at night, allowing visitors to experience the dynamic play of light up close.
