The LIFE Foundation meets their target group where they are with traveling “Mobile Labs”, whose purpose is to encourage children and young people's interest in science. The transportable classrooms are built on the beds of trucks and can be expanded to 65m². Ambiente was tasked with transforming the few square meters of space into functionally designed laboratories that facilitate the meeting between teachers and students in the best way possible.
In the design, flexible solutions were crucial to support the practical environment of the laboratories both during transportation and school lessons. Specially produced elements make efficient use of every square meter and create a solid foundation for experimental work. On the outside of the trucks, tin foil creates recognizability and awareness of the LIFE Foundation's “Mobile Labs” when they drive around on Danish roads or are set up at Danish schools.
