1200 m²
Daugaard's headquarter in The Custom House at Kolding Harbor has been given a new life through an extensive interior renovation and new interior design. Based on the building's history and the port's maritime environment, Ambiente has created a modern workplace that combines aesthetics, functionality and history. The entire interior structure was transformed - walls demolished, beams sandblasted, ventilation system integrated and a new floor plan implemented to optimize the use of the 1200 m². Every aspect of the project - from building permits to the smallest interior details - was managed by Ambiente.
The renovation was carried out with respect for the building's past, restoring original elements such as old doors and quality furniture. The new design choices reflect the colors of the sea and natural materials such as wood, stone and textiles. No detail is simply left to coincidence.
To emphasize the unique atmosphere, several custom designed and produced elements are part of the interior design. The renovated office now includes a four-meter-long counter with storage space and a built-in shelving unit that contributes to the building's historical expression.
The result is a modern headquarter where original details also bring the building back to its origins.
